Vets Outdoors is a veteran non-profit whose core mission is to enhance the lives of American veterans and current U.S. military personnel by providing recreational activities and events, camaraderie, healing, and purpose.

Our Vision

Vets Outdoors engages in activities that require both self-drive and teamwork. In beautiful, stimulating, and challenging environments, we recreate a positive sense of self, spirituality, camaraderie, and purpose. Vets Outdoors mission is for every veteran to live their best life, to overcome the challenges of living with war trauma, and to find peace, honor, and understanding in their military service.

Our History

Vets Outdoors was founded in 2020 with a simple but powerful mission; to create a way forward for Veterans to heal through the restorative power of the outdoors. Inspired by countless stories of life after service—both the challenges and the triumphs—our founder Justin set out to build a community where Veterans could reconnect, recharge, and rediscover purpose.
Today, Vets Outdoors is a dedicated Veteran-led nonprofit committed to serving U.S. Military Veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families. Through healing retreats, adrenaline-filled adventures, and peaceful days on the water, we provide more than just recreation—we create camaraderie, connection, and lasting memories.
At Vets Outdoors, every event is designed to enhance lives one experience at a time, offering Veterans a place to find healing, belonging, and renewed purpose beyond the uniform.
